Kovyo installs from the Shopify App Store. The whole flow is two clicks of consent and a one-time toggle in your theme editor — no code, no copy-paste of snippets.

1. Install from the App Store

  1. Open the Kovyo listing on the Shopify App Store.
  2. Click Add app and confirm the install on your store.
  3. Shopify will redirect you to app.kovyo.co with your store already linked. The onboarding wizard runs automatically.

2. Enable the storefront app embeds

Kovyo’s popups and visitor tracker are delivered through Shopify App embeds — small theme blocks that the merchant controls in the theme editor. The wizard prompts you with a deeplink, but if you ever need to find them by hand:

  1. From your Shopify admin, open Online Store → Themes.
  2. Click Customize on your active theme.
  3. In the left rail, click the puzzle-piece icon labelled App embeds.
  4. Toggle on Kovyo Popup and Kovyo Tracker.
  5. Click Save in the top-right.

Both embeds run only when the page is fully loaded so they don’t affect Lighthouse scores on the storefront.

3. Verify the install

Open your storefront in an incognito tab. Within ~5 seconds of landing on any page, your active popup should fire (assuming you’ve activated one). The tracker also starts logging events silently — you can check it under Reports in the Kovyo dashboard.

If nothing fires, see the troubleshooting article.
