Segments are saved filters over your contact list. Use them to target broadcast campaigns or to inspect a slice in the Contacts page.

A segment is a list of rules combined with All (AND) or Any (OR). Each rule pulls from one of four data sources: contact origin, behaviour events, purchase history, or email engagement.

Available rules

Useful presets

High-intent leads — captured email, never purchased:

  • Origin = Popup
  • Orders count = 0

Lapsing customers — bought before but going quiet:

  • Orders count ≥ 1
  • Last seen → not seen for more than 30 days

Engaged but not converted:

  • Opened email = Yes (last 30 days)
  • Orders count = 0

VIPs:

  • Orders count ≥ 3
  • Total spent ≥ $300

Where segments are used

  • Campaigns — when sending a broadcast, pick a segment as the audience instead of “all contacts”.
  • Reports → Audience tab — preview the segment and pull a CSV of its members.
